🏃♀️🏆 Cross Country Champions! 🏆🏃♂️
Huge congratulations to our cross country teams for an outstanding season so far! The girls' team dominated the competition to claim the MSAC League Championship, while the boys finished as runners-up in a highly competitive Mid State Activities Conference. The hard work, grit, and determination these athletes have shown is truly inspiring! Here’s how our top performers ranked:

But they didn’t stop there! This week, the teams traveled to Cadillac, competing against schools from all over. The girls finished 4th out of 29 teams and the boys took 17th out of 31 teams—fantastic results against tough competition. Here are some standout performances from the meet:

Danica Aldrich: 18th place with a personal record (20:05)
Ally Schmitz: 21st place (20:31)
Maizy Matthews: 47th place with a personal record (21:32)

🏐 Varsity Volleyball:
The varsity volleyball team and Bailey Clapp had a night to remember, sweeping St. Charles in straight sets (25-20, 25-13, 25-17). Bailey surpassed 1,000 career digs—an amazing achievement only a few players in our program have reached. Standout performances included:
Liz McCaw: 17 kills, 16 digs
Emma Tinson: 7 kills, 2 aces
Blair Davenport: 16 assists
These girls also took home the championship from the Spirit of Saint Louis Invitational on Saturday! If you haven’t seen them in action, don’t miss their final home game this Tuesday!
JV Volleyball:
The JV volleyball team fought hard but narrowly lost to St. Charles (26-28, 19-25, 15-12). Top performers:
Dasia Denwiddie: 2 aces, 1 kill, 7 assists
Leah Wale: 4 aces, 1 assist
Jayla Potter: 1 kill, 2 assists
Ally Pryor: 4 assists
🏈 Varsity Football:
Our Huskies are on a roll, winning their third game in a row with a 47-22 victory over Carson City-Crystal. The team’s perseverance and hard work are paying off as they turn the season around. Highlights of the game:
Gavin Corbat: 8/9 passing for 96 yards, 3 TDs; 5 tackles, 2 TFL
Maddax McCaw: 10 carries for 167 yards, 1 TD; 8 tackles, 1 TFL
Zander Mapes: 12 carries for 72 yards, 2 TDs; 1 catch for a TD; 7 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack
Trey Most & Noah Barr: 1 TD reception each
Braxton Clapp: 11 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 sack

JV Football:
Our JV team faced a tough matchup on the road at Gaylord St. Mary’s, falling 36-8. Despite the loss, the boys were back in the weight room the next day, working hard to improve. The future looks bright for those who stay committed!
📣 Sideline Cheer:
The cheer team had a special night hosting alumni, and they were electric on the sidelines! The team did a fantastic job motivating our football players while joining forces with alumni to perform some classic cheers. Connecting the past with the present is a great way to build program pride and ownership. Check out the pictures of this awesome night!
🌟 We are proud of our Above The Influence students and student leadership team! Today, they received training on supporting individuals with suicidal ideation (988) and shared the mental health initiatives BHS/MS provides them. Together, they brainstormed was to increase supports, strategies, and developed action plans to tackle substance abuse. What an incredible week for our Huskies! From football domination to volleyball victories, our athletes are showing up big time! Let's dive into all the exciting action from the past week:
🏈 Varsity Football:
Our varsity football team is on 🔥! They traveled to Byron on Friday night and came away with a dominant 43-7 victory. Teamwork and grit were on full display, and these guys played tough. Full Game Stats are at the bottom of the post.

Trey Most: 6 receptions, 101 yds, 1 TD; 6 tackles, 5 passes defended, 1 INT, 1 fumble recovery returned 62 yds for a TD

Our defense was unstoppable, and our offense kept the pressure on from start to finish. Special shoutout to our kicker Justin Pryor, who went 5/5 on PATs! The Huskies are on a roll, and we can't wait to see more! 💪
🏈 JV Football:
The JV squad also picked up a huge win on Wednesday night, defeating Byron 48-27. The team gave an amazing effort, and we couldn’t be more proud. Bentley McLaren had some long, explosive runs, and Brock Mayle added a highlight-reel pick-6! Keep it up, JV Huskies! 🔥

Tuesday night’s Pink Out game was electric! The girls swept Coleman in three sets (25-12, 25-15, 25-10). It was a true team effort, with everyone stepping up.

Our JV volleyball team put up a fight against Coleman on Tuesday, winning 2 out of 3 sets (25-22, 24-26, 15-6). They battled hard and never gave up, proving that their determination pays off! Way to finish strong, girls! 💪
🐴 Equestrian:
A huge shoutout to our equestrian team for competing in two tough days at states! We're incredibly proud of Ava DeVuyst and Lauralei McGill for representing Breckenridge. What a great season—we can’t wait to see what’s next! 🐎
📣 Sideline Cheer:
Our cheerleaders brought the energy on Wednesday night as they rallied the crowd during the JV game! Your enthusiasm and spirit make every game more exciting. Keep up the amazing work, ladies! 🎉

Our cross country team had a break from competition this week, but they're gearing up for their next challenge at the MSAC Jamboree at Uncle John’s Cider Mill this Wednesday. Good luck, runners! 🏃♀️🍏

On Monday, the golf team wrapped up their season at regionals, placing 8th out of 13 teams at Mt. Pleasant Country Club. These girls have shown tremendous improvement and growth this season. We’re so proud of you all!
