Title I Services
Title I is a federally funded program designed to help students who need improvement in the areas of language arts, math, science, and social studies. Title I provides supportive services to help students be successful in the regular classroom. Students are referred to Title I based on classroom test scores, checklists, MLPP (Michigan Literacy Progress Profile) scores, NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association) scores, and general classroom performance.
At Breckenridge Elementary we use Title I funds to provide these extra services
In-class support for kindergarten-fifth grade classes.
Before school multisensory program called Orton-Gillingham/Phonics First offered for 1st - 3rd grade.
K-5th grade additional individual and small group academic interventions
