Our school counselor helps children to learn, work, and live in the 21st century. A middle and high school counselor is available to assist students and parents with a wide range of academic and social concerns. Counseling is available, if necessary in the elementary school by contacting the principal. Our counselor works closely with parents, faculty, administration, and outside agencies. Our school counselor facilitates success in school by helping students develop positive attitudes toward self, family and community. Our counselor works to remove barriers to student achievement, and they support students as they develop plans for academic success.
The district also has a crisis response team made up of administrators, the school counselor, K-12 teachers, and support staff. This team has been trained to respond should a crisis occur in the school community. All staff members have received in-service and will continue to receive training on how to prevent and respond to any episodes of school violence.
