About High School
Breckenridge High School has a traditional 7-period day with a 19-minute Advisory Period. Each class runs for approximately 49 minutes. We offer a full academic schedule that aligns with the Mandated State Curriculum.
Academic programs include fine arts, business, core academic areas, agriculture, and technical courses. Students elect to follow a curriculum that fits into the scope of their selected career or college pathway. Courses may be general in nature or include advanced classes in English, Science, and Math. Accelerated programs such as dual enrollment and online interactive courses are available to students. Two area vocational centers also provide students with access to over twenty technical programs.
Students with special education needs receive assistance within the mainstream of the high school setting. School-to-work programs also offer students opportunities to gain valuable experience through co-op-related job and volunteer community service activities.
