Daily Announcements for 01/18/2022
Varsity girls basketball will be in Beaverton tonight starting at 7:00pm. The theme for tonight's game will be “Tie Dye”.
Varsity wrestling will be at home against Montabella starting at 6:00pm.
All Mt. Pleasant vocational students must be in 4th hour at the start of class for the rest of the month. If you are not to class on time, you will be marked accordingly.
Alma vocational will have PTC on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00pm.
After school tutoring will be in the media center on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00pm.
There will be a CTE presentation for the Sophomores on Thursday at 10:00am in the media center.
Color Guard tryouts will be after school starting at 3:15pm in the band room on Thursday.
Class ring orders will be taken on Wednesday in the media center during lunch.
Dick’s Studio will be holding picture retakes in their studio on January 19th and 20th from 9:00am-4:00pm for any student that needs retakes. Please call the studio to schedule an appointment at 989-875-4348.
The Freshman class will be selling Hearthstone cookie dough and soup through January 28th. These items will come frozen. Checks can be made out to Breckenridge Community Schools. Items will be delivered February 11th. Please see a class member to order.
Beaverton has implemented a mask mandate so if you go to the game tonight you will be expected to wear a mask at all times. This is spectators, players on the bench and coaches. Athletes on the court are the only exception. Please be prepared to mask up.
January is Board Appreciation Month! We thank our BCS Board for their time and efforts to provide great educational atmosphere at Breckenridge Community Schools.

BCS is updating our isolation and quarantine requirements and recommendations per the CDC and MDHHS guidance. Positive Covid cases now have the ability to return to school after 5 days per guidance. See the attached for more information.

The BCS Board of Education will hold their regular monthly board meeting on Monday January 17th, 2022 beginning at 7pm in the HS/MS media center.
BCS will be closed Tuesday, January 11th through Friday, January 14th due to student and staff illness. Please see the the attached letter for more information.

Today, BES students were gifted handmade wooden toys for all 310 students at BES from Mr. Phil Maxwell's woodshop class from St. Louis High School. 40 HS students from St. Louis delivered these presents this morning. The wood for these projects were donated by the Trent Carter family. The joy that was shared by both BES and St. Louis students was felt by all. Thank you to all involved!
Parent Reminder: Friday is a half day of school. BES students will be released at 11:20 am and MS/HS will be released at 11:30 am.
Both buildings conducted ALICE Drills today. ALICE drills help our staff and students to be prepared in case of an emergency.

BCS shared a survey to gather stakeholder input on the use of ESSER funds. Thank you to all who have completed the survey. We will be closing this survey on Wednesday, December 8th at 3 pm. Thank you for your input.
