Breckenridge Athletics Weekly Update: March 3 - March 9
Winter sports have officially come to an end, wrapping up an exciting season filled with student achievements. The last team competing was the girls' basketball team, which battled hard in districts. They secured a victory in the district semi-finals but fell to Fowler in the district finals. It has been a season full of excitement, and now we turn our attention to spring sports, which begin on Monday, March 10. However, competition will not start until after spring break.
Girls Basketball:
The girls finished a strong season with a record of 14-8. After splitting their regular-season matchups with Fulton, they won the district semi-final rubber match by 9 points. They then faced Fowler, a team with an impressive history of five Final Four appearances in the last six years. Despite their best efforts, they fell short in the district final.
