Breckenridge Athletics Weekly Update: 2/24-3/2 Winter sports are reaching their final stretch, and it was an exciting week for the Huskies! The boys' basketball team earned a thrilling overtime victory in the first round of Districts, while our bowling teams competed at States. Meanwhile, the girls' basketball team wrapped up the regular season and is gearing up for District play as the No. 2 seed. Bowling: The Huskie bowlers had a fantastic showing at States! The girls' varsity team made history with the highest finish ever for Breckenridge, placing 12th overall. A strong start had them in contention early, but the competition was fierce. A special shoutout to Kylo Reidel, who bowled a personal best of 202, and Miranda Bloomquist, who rolled an impressive 195 to lead the way! Individual States: Two Huskies, Raegyn Mayer and Miranda Bloomquist, qualified for the singles event at States. Both started strong, with Raegyn rolling a 141 and Miranda a 131. A long weekend of competition took its toll, but Miranda posted a high game of 188 and Raegyn 162, gaining valuable experience for the future! Girls Basketball: The girls wrapped up their regular season with two strong wins and a tough battle against an undefeated opponent.
